PACKAGED AIR HEAT SINKS

    • I packaged air coolers (or air-cooled package heat sinks) are devices used to dispose of the heat generated by electronic or mechanical components, using natural or forced airflow.

    They are called “packaged” because they are made up of thin fin packs, very close to each other, assembled in such a way as to maximize the heat exchange surface within a compact volume.

    Main features

    Package structure:

    a set of fins (made of aluminum or copper) pressed, welded or glued into a single block.

    High dissipating surface:

    the many narrow fins increase thermal efficiency.

    Air cooling:

    the heat is dissipated through natural convection or by fans.
